17 May Daily Drudge Report

Welcome to the Daily Drudge Report. This is where I’ll be recording how diabetes affects my day. Why? Because unfortunately, diabetes affects everything from when and what I eat to how I feel on an hourly basis.

This week has been pretty tiring since I worked around 35 hours for one client in just 3 days. We’re working to relaunch an entire overhaul of their website and it’s a monster of a job. The launch date will be in August so there’s a lot to prepare and manage. On top of that I do their book keeping, marketing management and lots of other tasks. It’s my biggest and most demanding client.

Needless to say, it’s taken quite a bit out of me.

17 May 2019 Glucose Chart

I’m happy to report, however, my blood glucose has been in range for most of the day. Dinner is the only time I’ve hit 8 mmol/L (145 mg/dL) and even then it stayed under 9! (162)

Today’s food was a bit over my daily allotment (it’s not as bad as it looks, I didn’t actually eat all of dinner so maybe 400 calories surplus) but at least I bolused correctly!

I was planning on going to the gym, but honestly, I’m just too exhausted so I’ll go in the morning and hope I’m not fighting hypos the entire workout!
