Trying to manage diabetes is hard because if you don’t, there are consequences you’ll have to deal with later in life.

Mondays. I seriously despise Mondays. Mondays are one of the two days a week I regularly drive into one of my client’s offices an hour away from home. Normally I don’t mind, it gets me out of the house. However, last night was one of those nights sleep eluded me.
From about 23:30 (that’s 11:30 at night for those who can’t figure out the 24 hour clock) I tried closing my eyes but 20 or 30 minutes later I’d be awake again. I tried reading, going down the Reddit and Youtube rabbit holes, and even listening to spa music.
Nothing worked. I was up until 4 in the morning and had to be awake at 6:30.
Pro’s of Being Awake All Freaking Night Long

Cons’s of Being Awake All Freaking Night Long
- Needing an IV full of caffeine
- Annoying and irritating people increase the chance of jail time due to murder
- Headache
- Lack of concentration
- Agreeing to things just to make those annoying people go the fuck away
- Not wanting to go do the exercise you intended on doing
- Being a fully functional adult seems like a daunting task
At Least My Blood Sugar Behaved Today
Honestly, the only saving grace is that my blood sugar has behaved today. As you can see it’s mostly been a low carb day.

I had planned on going out for a cycle when I got home from my client. The theory was around 17:00 or 18:00 my basal insulin would be starting to run out of steam and if I didn’t inject any bolus insulin, I would be less likely to bottom out. At least try to make 8km instead of 7.5.
Unfortunately, I have absolutely no steam left. So it’s dinner, some Elder Scrolls Online and an early bed time.
